Funcom may throw some of the community a curve ball here and there by making some quest lines & feats that require large grouping. Getting your guild mates to run through these types of things for alts or late comers can become a long mundane task unless someone wants to organize regular pick up groups for them. This is the perfect place to set this up! Submit a newsletter with the event and I will publish it and add your event on the calendar.

This will be a contest hosted by AOC Events determined by a poll vote right here on this blog. Contestants can post a pic of their Hyborian home while our Event community casts their vote. In order to make this a regular event, each event may be specific. Who has the best fireplace, tavern, sexy bedroom, so on and so forth. Rewards usually consist of furniture or a decorating item for your dwelling assuming AOC will have them.

This event is purely an advertisement opportunity to sell your wares and services. All crafter types will gather in an area and offer at least 1 free item or service on however they see fit. Some will do a random roll, others will offer a trivia question while others may play "let's make a deal" looking for a specific item someone may have on their person. This is a good way to get your name out there if you chose to be an avid craftsman. Who knows you may find a couple customers for life.

There are several ways to do a hide and seek event with out giving certain classes with beneficial traits or skills an advantage. All though we are not sure what the UI functions will be it may be as simple as the game we played as kids. If tracking or zone information can not be safe guarded on a host there is a simple way to avoid that problem.
It will take 2 people to host and 1 of them must remain anonymous through out the event until he/she is found, this person will have the reward on them. The 2nd person will form a group or raid or even utilize a private chat channel(if AOC will have that feature) or guild chat in game to give hints on who you are looking for and where they will be. Hints will be disclosed every 2 minutes or so until the person is found. These events can vary on time depending on the difficulty of the location the host is to be found.

This event is also called Splats for Plats in EQ, so some of you may be familiar with this idea. The idea is simple and the event is very short but this event will leave a fond memory.
Find the highest peaks in Hyboria and gather around as you watch the Host fall to his death. The person who can die closest to the host wins the prize! There are several variations of this event you can include and the rules can vary about determining who is the closest. Usually, it's measured from one avatar head to the host's avatar head. But you can change it up as ya like.

Scavenger hunts are one of the more involved events to host on a server. There is also several ways of hosting them. One way is to create a list and have a start and finish time to obtain these items. The biggest problem with this way is having people cheat by purchasing items instead of actually hunting for them. However, you can always limit the hunt to a single zone that does not have a merchant.
Another way to host a scavenger hunt is to announce 1 item at a time and not disclose the next item until the first is returned to the host or a checkpoint which would involve several people helping the host. First person to get back with all of the items wins. The most involved and challenging ways to host a scavenger hunt is to make it a trivia based hunt, never disclosing what the actual item really is that your looking for. This is best if you want to do a "team" based hunt. Each trivia question would be announced to a team when they think they have completed the previous one. At the end all teams will submit their answers along with the items the have scavenged. First team completing the hunt with all correct items wins.

There is too many variables to disclose any formats of Bar Brawling at this time. I imagine we could do class bar brawls or a tier based system but that will depend on how long drunk effects will last. We will figure out a good system once we see this mini game in action.
